Avocado chocolate mousse with honey

A super elegant and healthy treat that you can eat without feeling even a single ounce of guilt. Quick and easy to make, with a rich and silky texture. Add strawberries or nuts as topping, to make it even more nutritious. And a small advice: If your kids ask what kind of mousse this is, skip the word avocado. Nobody will notice.

Hands on: 5 minutes

Serves: 8 shot glasses

Ingredients

Flesh of 2 medium sized very ripe avocados

10 tablespoons coconut milk, or almond or cow

4 tablespoons honey

5 tablespoons cocoa powder

1-tablespoon vanilla extract

small pinch of salt

For the serving

mint, strawberries, and sesame seed candies or hazelnuts

How to do it

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor until completely smooth.

  2. Transfer to serving balls (I use shot glasses).

  3. Top with whatever you like. Hazelnuts, cashews, strawberries, mint….

  4. You can place your mousse in the freezer for later use.

Tips

  • Use less milk for a thicker mousse and more for a thinner/creamier result.
