For most parents in the world smoothies are the perfect way to sneak in one meal what kids averse the most: fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately this trick didn’t work with my kids and no matter how many smoothie recipes I tried, I couldn’t figure out why. One day I realized that they didn’t reject the taste of it. The just didn’t like drinking it. They want their smoothie in a bowl, to eat with a spoon. And guess what? This is considered to be trendy!
So here is my twisted smoothie recipe, with a creamier texture and therefore easier to eat with a spoon. Use frozen fruits combined with Greek yogurt and honey, to make your smoothie bowl look more like a cup of ice cream. Add some chocolate drops as a topping and make it 100% kid-friendly. Hands on: 2 minutes
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 banana
1 cup (200gr) Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
chocolate drops (as a topping)
How to do it
Blend the frozen strawberries together with the banana.
When smooth, add the Greek yogurt and the honey. Blend only for 5-10 seconds. No more.
Place your smoothie in small bowls and add the topping your kids like (muesli, almonds, fresh fruits, pumpkin seeds etc).
